Black Hills Stock Show Award

December 2002:  (Las Vegas) -- The Black Hills Stock Show has been named the Indoor Rodeo of the Year by the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association.

The award was presented to Jim and Julie Sutton of Onida, SD, on Thursday night at the PRCA awards before the start of the National Finals Rodeo in Las Vegas.

It was the first time the Black Hills Stock Show Rodeo received the honor.  The rodeo was chosen over all other indoor shows in the country, including those at Houston, Denver and San Antonio, according to a news release.

The 2003 Black Hills Stock Show & Rodeo is set for Jan. 31 - Feb. 8, at the Rushmore Plaza Civic Center in Rapid City, SD.
